Río Cauto, Granma. El séptimo encuentro comunitario Magia de Abril, auspiciado por la Unión Nacional de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba (UNEAC) y el Gobierno de esta oriental provincia se inició en este municipio, el tercero más extenso territorialmente del país. El evento, que se extenderá hasta el venidero 3 de mayo, reúne a un centenar de magos de 12 provincias del país e invitados extranjeros de Venezuela y Colombia.
César Reyes (El mago Ampudia), presidente del Comité Organizador comentó a la prensa que para esta ocasión prevén visitar 20 comunidades más que el año anterior y “realizaremos más de un centenar de espectáculos en asentamientos de difícil acceso, cooperativas, escuelas, centros laborales, para entretener y complacer la curiosidad de mi pueblo, conocedor como pocos de la manifestación”.
Señaló que este año bajo la denominación “Río de magia y diversión”, el encuentro llevará cultura y entretenimiento a diferentes asentamientos de la provincia de Granma e incluye la realización de un espectáculo en la ciudad de Bayamo
Fundado por Ampudia en 1991 en los inicios del período especial, el encuentro es el único de su tipo en el país. “En ese entonces se dieron cita en Río Cauto 25 magos procedentes de Las Tunas, Santiago de Cuba, Camagüey y Granma para regalar su arte a los pobladores en medio de un homenaje por mi cumpleaños y por los años de vida artística. Así nació Magia de Abril”, sentenció César Reyes.
